Before You Buy...

There are a few things you will need to do before purchasing a commissioned painting from me.

#1. Help me get to know you and your pet. Make sure you have a high quality photo of your pet, showing him/her in very clear detail.  Please email your photo to me (jodi@artbyjodidodd.com) so I can review it, and make sure it will work well for your painting.  This picture will be what I use to create your painting, so it must clearly show your pet's unique features.  This will ensure that I accurately capture the essence of your pet's spirit.  Examples of photos that have worked well in the past can be found in  the Photo Gallery.

When submitting your photo, please also provide information about your pet's personality/temperament.  

It would also be helpful if you could tell me about your color preferences, i.e., likes, dislikes, and/or preferred color combinations.

#2. Review the Commission Guidelines (guidelines for commissioning me to paint your pet).  You will be responsible for following and understanding these guidelines, so be sure to read them.  Contact me if you have any questions about this information.
